Vic's 11 Reasons for the Failure of Goals

If you are getting ready for the New Year and want to start fresh with approach- ing some goal- setting, here is a great start for you with Vic Johnson of LearnOutLoud.

The video left will open on a page and not into a separate video window.  When you get there, just click again on the (real) video and watch.  I was very inspired by one of his stories of a man with a "white-hot" desire and the perseverence of which I have never heard before... wait until you hear!

Happy Goal Setting!  ~~Cynthia
"Everything that is,is freely given by the God of love. All is grace. Light and water, shelter and food, work and free time, children, parents, grandparents, life and death— it is all given to us. Why? So that we can say thanks; thanks to God, thanks to each other, thanks to all and everyone.”
—Henri Nouwen

"In addition to reading ten pages a day of a motivational or inspirational book...listen to a self-improvement CD for at least 15 minutes every day... If you spend that time listening to educational and self-improvement material, you'll have the equivalent of a Ph.D. on any subject you choose in just a few years. That's the Slight Edge." ~Jeff Olson, author of "The Slight Edge: Secret to a Successful Life"

Day 49 of 50 Days of Gratitude Networking Campaign

John Demartini (of "The Secret") talks about what gratitude means in his life:

"Everything that is,is freely given by the God of love. All is grace. Light and water, shelter and food, work and free time, children, parents, grandparents, life and death— it is all given to us. Why? So that we can say thanks; thanks to God, thanks to each other, thanks to all and everyone.”

Day 47 of 50 Days of Gratititude Networking Campaign

It's Hallowe'en and I am getting over a cold. So what do I have to be grateful for? How about a nice, warm, safe home with ample peace to rest as much as I need? How about a loving, caring husband who gives me that time off with no expectation of conversation or any domestic helpfulness? How about the ability to pick whatever 'cure' suits me from pharmaceuticals to organic raw garlic? I feel much better tonight. I have much to be grateful for.

Here is a new blog I've been following that has a compassionate eye for the less fortunate people you and I come across in the Family of Man: http://carollindsay.blogspot.com/Day

Day 42 of 50 Days of Gratitude Networking Campaign

I know how I often say how much I love living on Vancouver Island, but when it is rainy and I have a cold coming on, I am ever so grateful that somewhere in the world is this beautiful country called Italy with its uplifting romantic music and sunshine. Enjoy this slideshow that came to me in an email:
