"In addition to reading ten pages a day of a motivational or inspirational book...listen to a self-improvement CD for at least 15 minutes every day... If you spend that time listening to educational and self-improvement material, you'll have the equivalent of a Ph.D. on any subject you choose in just a few years. That's the Slight Edge." ~Jeff Olson, author of "The Slight Edge: Secret to a Successful Life"

Day 10 All Power- Making Awesome Decisions

The belief in this particular seminar is that the most important decision in life is to make good strong decisions... to exercise that flabby part of our minds.

We are the product of our decisions.

Right now, what we reap is largely because of the decisions we sowed in the past.

To NOT make a decision-- IS a decision.

When you make 5 great decisions in a week you will make 260 major, life-changing decisions in the course of a year. You will also have eradicated 260 bad decisions from your life! You can end up with over 500 positive changes in a year!

The word "decision" comes from the Greek and means "to cut off"
-- to cut myself off from any other possibility. A good decision needs to be committed to.

Get out your Bible and check out the following verses:

Joshua 24:15
Psalm 119:30
Psalm 25:12
Isaiah 7:15
Proverbs 2:9

Make a decision today that you are going to step out of the box, turn off the auto-pilot, come out of your trance state
-- make a commitment to yourself that you will make good empowering decisions from now on, at least one a day for 5 days a week for a year. If your life is not powerfully changed in a year, give yourself permission to go back to lounging in auto-pilot.

Leo strongly suggests that when you resist stepping out of your 'comfort zone' you are NOT in God's Will for your life.

Way of the Water Hyacinth

The water hyacinth is an apt choice for portraying the success of overcoming... in "The Slight Edge", Jeff Olson chooses a story called The Water Hyacinth to begin his book. He describes the water hyacinth as a beautiful, delicate-looking little plant with six petaled flowers ranging from purplish blue to
lavender to pink. He points out that it is one of the most prolific-growing of all plants on earth. Botanists and ecologists continue to be astonished. The method it prefers to use for colonization is to send out short runners that propagate "daughter plants" that can take over an entire pond in thirty days. The amazing thing is that on the 29th day one half of the pond surface will reveal water, and the next day, the entire pond will be covered by a blanket of water hyacinth with no water showing at all.

And so our lives can be... delicate, but capable of amazing, hearty abundance. Send out your runners. Tend your "daughter plants". Build your business by emulating what our Creator does 'naturally'. If you want to build a real business with a built-in plan for an excellent escalating compensation, go here and submit the application for the risk-free evaluation.

Day 9 All Power- Making the Instant Changes

What you are reading in this blog is just a brief skim of the exciting All Power Biblically-based professional seminars for life mastery. I suggest you might want to check out the calendar of engagements for the speaker, Leo Schreven, by going to his site at www.allpowerseminars.com so you can attend the seminars yourself.

On Day 9 we need to get our minds conditioned to make the changes to the negative associations we wrote down on Day 8 (see the previous blog entry).

(1)For each negative association, write down ALL THE REASONS you can possibly think of as to why you need to change these things NOW.
Write down the negative consequences for NOT making changes. Write down the positive consequences for making the changes. Write out a list as if your life depended on it (and well it might).

(2)INTERRUPT your neuro pathways with a prayer, a joke, a deep breath, or a Bible promise. Write down a strategy for interrupting EACH of the patterns. Example would be that if you hear yourself saying "I just can't do it!" interrupt it with the Bible verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" (Believe it! Repeat it! Repeat it forcefully at least 21 times)

(3)Develop new associations to get the changes you want. Write them down. Flood yourself with immense feelings of joy and pleasure, dwelling on all the benefits and blessings are yours with these new thought patterns. Repeat. Amazingly, you will soon find that the old pattern has diminished, and then, disappeared to be replaced by your new constructive, positive responses.
