Way of the Water Hyacinth

The water hyacinth is an apt choice for portraying the success of overcoming... in "The Slight Edge", Jeff Olson chooses a story called The Water Hyacinth to begin his book. He describes the water hyacinth as a beautiful, delicate-looking little plant with six petaled flowers ranging from purplish blue to
lavender to pink. He points out that it is one of the most prolific-growing of all plants on earth. Botanists and ecologists continue to be astonished. The method it prefers to use for colonization is to send out short runners that propagate "daughter plants" that can take over an entire pond in thirty days. The amazing thing is that on the 29th day one half of the pond surface will reveal water, and the next day, the entire pond will be covered by a blanket of water hyacinth with no water showing at all.

And so our lives can be... delicate, but capable of amazing, hearty abundance. Send out your runners. Tend your "daughter plants". Build your business by emulating what our Creator does 'naturally'. If you want to build a real business with a built-in plan for an excellent escalating compensation, go here and submit the application for the risk-free evaluation.

"In addition to reading ten pages a day of a motivational or inspirational book...listen to a self-improvement CD for at least 15 minutes every day... If you spend that time listening to educational and self-improvement material, you'll have the equivalent of a Ph.D. on any subject you choose in just a few years. That's the Slight Edge." ~Jeff Olson, author of "The Slight Edge: Secret to a Successful Life"
